In the Cut
They may flirt with the peek-a-boo concept, but there’s nothing coy about these designs.
1. Solenne Morigeaud’s laser-cut Smoke and Mirrors is a collection of etched and layered mirrors. The artist describes the collection as products for the home that blur perceptions and create illusions of depth. Originally seen at Decor8 // 2. Balenciaga’s cold-shoulder dress, from the futuristic S/S ‘09 collection. Looks like something Deckard’s Racheal would probably wear today or, you know, tomorrow. Image source // 3. Temperley London S/S ‘09, shoulder-baring silk jersey top, available at Net-a-porter // 4. Bela Borsodi’s magazine editorial, Delikatessen. Borsodi is represented by Art Dept // 5. Publique Living’s clever die-cut PopMat Paper Placemats are almost too pretty to use. Lian Ng’s coordinating cut-out Butterflies Voltive Cuffs are available at PubliqueShop.
